Connecticut State Requirement for 6th Grade Students

Connecticut State Law requires ALL students to have a physical exam during sixth grade. The CT Health Assessment form needs to be on file in the nurse’s office by the last day of 6th grade. We accept physicals dated from June 1, 2024. Upon completion of the exam, please email the completed CT health assessment record to the lower division health office. 8th to 9th Grade Transition Coffee

Saxe Counselors and NCHS staff will speak to 8th grade parents about what your child can expect as they move from Saxe Middle School to NCHS.

Chaperones are Needed!

Parents are needed to help the Chorus and Orchestra teachers chaperone kids backstage before and during the concert. You will be chaperoning your child's grade. While your student is performing you will be able to watch him/her in the audience. Please sign up to help chaperone the event!

National Charity League, New Canaan Chapter Informational Meeting

Thursday, January 23 from 6:30-8:00pm

The New Canaan Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) is hosting an informational meeting for the class of 2031 (current 6th graders) on January 23 from 6:30-8:00pm. NCL is a mother-daughter service and volunteer organization that begins the spring of 6th grade and follows a 6-year leadership and development progression through senior year of high school. The program is an excellent opportunity for women and their daughters to make an impact by volunteering with local philanthropies. Participants also develop leadership skills and have exposure to cultural events throughout the program.
