NCYFH is kicking off the spring season with Sunday night clinics for grades 5-8. It's not too late to join in the fun and improve your skills for the fall season. Spring Clinics are held Sunday evenings from 6-7pm (Grades 5-6) and from 7-8pm (Grades 7-8). Clinics are led by Coach Megan (NCHS Varsity) and cost $200 per player. Ben Young All-Sports Camp

Camp Dates: 6/23-6/27, 6/30-7/4, 7/7-7/11, and 7/14-7/18 (9 AM-12 PM sessions) | NCHS
Camp Overview: The Ben Young All-Sports Camp is entering its 11th year, and there will be four separate, one week, 9 AM-12 PM sessions at New Canaan High School between 6/23-6/27, 6/30-7/4, 7/7-7/11, and 7/14-7/18. This camp is designed for students in (rising) grades K-8, but they do welcome all children turning five this calendar year, and the program strives to get children active in an inclusionary and positive environment where they can take part in fun sports and games. Activities vary from basketball, soccer, tennis, and baseball, to capture the flag, four-square, cornhole, relays, etc., and there are some water activities too. (Over twenty different sports/games will be played each week!) Also, this camp features an incredible crew of certified teachers and high school/college counselors that are all highly charismatic, mature, nurturing, and responsible, and they each genuinely enjoy being with children. (There are 4 certified teachers and over 100 students on staff!).
Background: Ben grew up in New Canaan, going through the public school system here, and graduated from Bucknell University, where he was a 2-year Co-Captain of their Division I tennis team. This is now Ben’s 17th year at Saxe, and he absolutely loves being a 7th grade language arts teacher and a member/advisor of numerous clubs and committees. Additionally, Ben is the proud Head Coach of the recent State Champion Boys Varsity Tennis Team.

Hello! We are a group of four high school juniors passionate about helping children enhance their educational skills and grow in their learning journey. We offer one-on-one tutoring and after-school homework help for children in grades K-6 at the New Canaan Library in the following subjects: reading, writing, social studies, math, science, French and Spanish. All earnings go towards childrenincorporated.org.

Drop your kids off at the New Canaan Library for 30 minute or one hour sessions. You can enjoy some well deserved time to yourself while your kids do their homework properly, learn to study, and get personal help in their chosen subject.

Troop 70 - Website

Troop 70 is over 40 scouts, many of whom attend Saxe. The troop's website is a great resource for learning about the troop and all the activities the scouts are doing. Meetings are held weekly on Thursdays from 7:30pm to 8:45pm. The location has been changing due to Covid restrictions, but any interested families are welcome to visit. Please reach out to Scoutmaster Jose Morales or Troop Committee Chair Michael Reed with any questions or to go see the scouts in action.

SLOBs is the largest service club at NCHS with 250+ members and has served our community with over 35,000 volunteer hours.
